Configuring Experience Package Codes

Configure an experience package code to attach pricing to each leisure experience.

Experience Package Codes are configured the same way as Reservation Package Codes. See Package Codes.

The Package Category must be set to Leisure Experiences (LEISURE_EXPERIENCES). This category allows the package code to appear in the Price field when configuring an Experience. See Configuring Package Categories.

Select the following package-code post attributes:

• Add To Rate - Separate Line (Mandatory for Leisure Prices)
• Posting Rhythm:
  • Select the posting rhythm that best suits your property’s needs:
    • Post Every Night: The charge for each leisure experience is posted the day after the experience takes place.
    • Post on Arrival Night: Charges for all booked leisure experiences are posted the day after the guest checks in.

    Note:

    Experiences added during the guest’s stay must be posted manually. Charges for experiences taking place on the check-out date must also be posted manually.
• Sell Separate (Mandatory for Leisure Prices)

Note:

If you schedule a Leisure Experience on the day of departure, manually post the charge.

The Leisure Experiences package category is seeded automatically for every property and is available in the list of values.

Leisure Experience Packages appear in the Packages section of the guest reservation. They cannot be edited or cancelled directly from the reservation. Make changes through the associated scheduled Experience.

1. From OPERA Cloud menu, select Administration, Financial, Packages.
2. Create or select the package code used for the experience price.
3. Complete the required package configuration and save the code.
