Reinstating Reservations
Reinstating a reservation deducts the specified room type from inventory, based on selection of a deduct from inventory Reservation type selected in the reservation. You must have the required overbooking tasks assigned to your role(s) to override a closed rate code or overbook the room type or property (house).
You
cannot reinstate rate, package or upgrade award reservations (Available
when the Award Points Redemption OPERA Control is active); these reservations
must be re-booked. For more information, see Redeeming Loyalty Awards
Reinstating Cancelled Reservations
You can reinstate a cancelled reservation with an arrival date the same as or greater than the current business date. When reinstating a share reservation, a prompt is displayed for each share reservation; select Yes to reinstate the share reservation.

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

Select Cancelled from the Reservation Status list and enter additional search criteria, then click Search.

Select the cancelled reservation in the search result, then click I Want to. . . and select Reinstate Reservation .
Reinstating No Show Reservations
You can reinstate a no show reservation with a departure date the same as or greater than the current business date. The arrival date is automatically updated to the business date, and the original departure date remains on the reservation.

From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, select Reservations, and then select Manage Reservation.

Select No Show from the Reservation Status list and enter additional search criteria, then click Search.

Select the no show reservation in the search result, then click I Want to. . . and select Reinstate Reservation .

The reservation is reinstated and the assigned room is removed. If the reservation is part of a sharing reservation and one of the share reservations is still assigned this room, then the reservation is reinstated and the room and share are kept.
Note:
When the Default Market Code for No Show Reservations OPERA Control is active and a default Market Code is configured, the Market Code is automatically updated to the configured default when the reservation is marked as No Show, either during End of Day processing. If the reservation is reinstated, the updated Market Code remains on the reservation.
