Identity Management Based User Access
Identity Management-Based User Access has been introduced to replace the current Reporting Hierarchy/User configuration in the R&A Application Portal for managing data access. This feature enables reporting data access in R&A to be controlled through group assignments in OPERA Cloud Identity Management (OCIM). For more information about the available groups and user assignments, refer to Configure User Access via OCIM in the User chapter of the user guide.
This feature allows you to transition your data access security model from an R&A-based model to an OCIM-based model by migrating the existing R&A user configuration to OCIM. Please note that once this feature is enabled, it cannot be disabled.
After the feature is enabled, the migration of existing user assignments from R&A to OCIM begins automatically and may take some time to complete. During the migration process, no further user changes can be made in R&A. This restriction ensures that all users receive the appropriate R&A access once the migration is complete.
This control can be enabled only if the following prerequisites are met:
- Your instance must be an existing customer instance that was operating under the previous version of R&A. Newly onboarded instances have this option enabled by default.
- Your R&A instance must share the same identity stripe as its corresponding OPERA Cloud Identity Management (OCIM) instance.
For existing customers whose R&A instance does not share the same identity stripe as the corresponding OCIM instance, this control is not currently available. To become eligible, you must either:
- Wait until your R&A instance is migrated to the shared OCIM identity stripe.
- Reprovision your R&A instance using the OCIM identity stripe.
