Required Software

The following table lists the Oracle software that is required in order to execute Oracle Health Insurance:

Oracle Database Enterprise Edition

Partitioning (Oracle Database Enterprise Edition Option)

Oracle WebLogic Suite for Oracle Applications (may be used only as an embedded runtime for eligible Oracle Applications)

Options required with WebLogic: Oracle Coherence; Oracle TopLink; Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)

12.2.1.4 (latest patch release)

Minimal required patches, to be applied in the order mentioned:

For the Oracle Database and Oracle WebLogic server make sure to always apply the latest Critical Patch Updates.

The Oracle Database and Oracle WebLogic server as well the ADF runtime libraries need to be installed. Make sure to use the "Fusion Middleware Infrastructure Installer".

For certified operating systems for the Oracle Database and Oracle WebLogic server check Certifications on My Oracle Support for these Oracle products. Oracle Health Insurance applications are developed and tested on Oracle Linux.

Make sure to check Certifications on My Oracle Support for certification of Oracle Health Insurance applications with the following:

  • Certified Java runtime versions

  • Certified browsers

The Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) database option can be used with Oracle Health Insurance applications in order to achieve a high-availability setup. RAC should not be used for scalability in combination with Oracle Health Insurance applications.
