Oracle Health Insurance - Documentation Library

Oracle Health Insurance is a suite of applications that automate the core back office processes for healthcare payers.

Oracle Health Insurance documentation offers a documentation library per release of each application. Each library holds multiple guides, each guide targeted at a specific audience.

This is the documentation library for Oracle Health Insurance Enterprise Policy Administration.
Oracle Health Insurance Enterprise Policy Administration manages member contracts, tracks (retroactive) changes to member enrollment, and uses that information to calculate the appropriate premium rates, both for individual and group policies.

The Guides

• Developer Guide
  This guide provides information on the Oracle Health Insurance integration capabilities and the usage of Dynamic Logic to specify specific system behavior.

• Configuration Guide
  This guide provides information on how to configure reference data, rules, checks, events, schedules, messages, and so on by extending the data model and using custom logic. This guide also explains the use of the configuration migration tool.

• Administration Guide
  This guide provides information on system administration tasks like auditing, tracing, purging data, gathering metrics, troubleshooting, copying an environment, and so on.

• Installation Guide
  This guide provides information on how to install Oracle Health Insurance applications from scratch and how to install new releases.

• Operations Guide
  This guide explains the Oracle Health Insurance core processes like claims pricing, claims adjudication, policy processing, premium calculation, and financial processing. It also provides information on UI pages.

• Security Guide
  This guide explains the security measures and features in the Oracle Health Insurance components. It provides information on user access, network and web services, and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance.

  This guide explains the licenses for the third-party products that are included with earlier releases of Oracle Health Insurance.

Select a Guide

There are multiple ways to select a guide or switch from one guide to another.

Through the Navigation Bar

1. Click drop-down box that mentions the name of the guide.
   A list of all guides appears.
   

2. Click the respective guide to access it.

   

Through the List on Bottom-Left Corner

1. Click the name of the guide in the bottom-left corner.
   A list of all the guides appears.

   

2. Click the respective guide to access it.

   

Through the Home Button

Click Home button to navigate back to the start page of the application library. See From the Start Page for more information on selecting the respective guide to access it.

From the Start Page

You can select the respective guide to access it through:

• The left navigation menu

• The Guides section

  

Navigating Through the Guides

• Each guide is divided into chapters, and chapters are divided into pages. Use the left navigation menu to access a particular chapter or page in a guide.

  

• Use the right navigation menu (under Contents) to access sections and sub-sections of a page.

  

• Use the Home button to navigate back to the start page of the application library.

  

• The secondary path right next to the Home button shows the current position of the page in the site hierarchy. Use it to explore a guide effectively.

  • Click the link on the far left to go to the start page of the guide.

  • Click the link on the far right to go to the top of the page.

    

• There are two links at the bottom of each page with the names: Prev and Next.

  • Click the link underneath Prev to navigate to a page before the current one in the guide navigation.

  • Click the link underneath Next to navigate to the next page in the guide navigation.

    

• Some pages mention links that open in a new or the same tab, depending on the location of the target page.

  • If the page on the link is within the same guide, the page opens up in the same tab.

  • If the page is not in the current guide, clicking a link redirects the reader to the page in a new tab.

Search Across Guides

The search field displays results from all the guides of the current version of the Oracle Health Insurance application.

1. To start a search, type a keyword or phrase in the search box in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
   A list of all occurrences of the keyword or the phrase in the application library will appear while typing.

2. Click a search result to open the page that contains the keyword or phrase.
