About the log file generation
The logs for the last three recodes are available for download by clicking the Generate Log Files button.
You can download the logs as:
- Delimited text: this option creates CSV files with the selected delimiter and zip them during the download.
- Excel File: this option generates the log files in XLSX format and zip them during the download.
The logs are available for both View only and Update options. The log ZIP file name is prefixed with the mode in which it is generated in the format <Mode>_ZIP_MEDDRA_RECODE_<Date>. For example, Update_ZIP_MEDDRA_RECODE_2025_12_02_13_42_09.
The log files are downloaded to the browser default download path that is locally configured.

In case of multiple enterprises being recoded in a single run, a master ZIP file is generated containing individual ZIP files for each selected enterprise during a MedDRA recode run. The master ZIP file uses the same naming convention as for a single enterprise.
This master ZIP file contains ZIP files for each enterprise that includes all 8 log files relevant to that enterprise only. Each enterprise ZIP file is prefixed with the enterprise short name and mode in the ZIP file name for easy identification. For example: <ENT SHORT NAME>_<Mode Update/ViewOnly>_<File name>_<TimeStamp>.csv
The individual ZIP files containing the recode logs of specific enterprise (child ZIP file) is automatically emailed as an attachment to the user’s email id who initiated the recode. For example, if recode was executed for 5 different enterprises in a single run, on completion of the recoding activity for all 5 enterprises, the user receives 5 different emails with the enterprise specific log files as zipped attachment.
The attachments file size must be within the allowable limits of the Email server or system configuration. By default, attachments up to approximately 15 MB are supported. If the compiled file exceeds this threshold or if the email server settings restrict attachments, the email will be sent without the attachment. In such cases, the master ZIP file can be accessed through the MedDRA Recode screen.
The Recode screen displays the recoding user’s Email ID (in read-only mode) as configured in the User Management. If there is no Email ID configured for the user, the field is displayed as blank and disabled.
