Creating an auto-suggestion

  1. If not enabled by default, enable the auto-suggestion feature in the coding browser. For more information, see Enabling the auto-suggestion feature.
  2. Specify a secondary autocode target for the coding definition on the Element Configuration page. For more information, see Configuring autocode targets.
The Oracle Central Coding application uses the secondary autocode target to provide a list of possible codes for a term. The possible codes appear in the coding browser during interactive coding.
  3. During interactive coding, specify a coding response as an auto-suggestion. For more information, see Coding a single item or Coding an item and propagating the value.

The Oracle Central Coding application applies the selected coding response to all new incoming requests with the same verbatim, coding definition, and context information.

If the assignment rule associated with the incoming requests specifies that the code value from the coding response requires approval, the auto suggestion becomes active only after the code value is approved.
