Resetting the Oracle InForm Adapter bookmark

The bookmark attribute is an index number that identifies the last verbatim that the Oracle Central Coding application received from the Oracle InForm Adapter cache. This number ensures that, when the Get Requests job runs, the Oracle Central Coding application retrieves only verbatims that it did not previously obtain.

If coding inconsistencies exist between Central Coding and Oracle InForm, you can manually reset the bookmark attribute for the Oracle InForm Adapter application in Oracle Central Coding. This action retrieves all uncoded verbatims again from the Oracle InForm application. For studies that contain many verbatims, the Get Requests job may run for a longer time.

Only the verbatims that are updated as a result of the retrieval action change their status in the Oracle Central Coding application.

Verbatims that are already in Delivered state receive the Completed status. As a result, the Oracle Central Coding application can return them again to the Oracle InForm application.
