How data flows between Clinical One Cloud Service and Oracle Central Coding
Oracle Central Coding exchanges data according to the schedules configured in Oracle Central Coding. Coding does not occur immediately after a verbatim term is entered or edited.
- Based on schedules configured in Oracle Central Coding, new verbatim terms and previously coded verbatim terms that have been edited, together with their associated context item values (Route of Administration and Indication), are retrieved from Clinical One Cloud Service.
- Oracle Central Coding uses form design details and Oracle Central Coding configuration to attempt to autocode each term. Users manually code terms that Oracle Central Coding does not autocode.
- A second schedule, also configured in Oracle Central Coding, returns the dictionary values for coded verbatim terms to the corresponding coding targets on the form.
- After coding is complete, if a user changes or clears the verbatim term or a context value, Clinical One Cloud Service clears the coding targets. The updated term is then retrieved again by Oracle Central Coding for recoding.
