Remove a subject (Undo Add)

If you add a subject in error, you can remove them as long as no data has been entered for them.

Note:

If as part of your study's design, the first visit date has been entered and saved, resulting in the Visit Date field getting automatically filled-in, this prevents the removal of the subject.
Other actions that add data for subjects and prevent the Undo Add action are:
  • Locking a subject.
  • Freezing a subject's data.
  • Verifying a subject's data at a visit and question level.
  • Signing at the subject level.
  • Transferring a subject.
  • Clearing or deleting data for a subject.
  • Updating a subject's number.
  • Adding a visit date.
  1. From the Home page, access your study in the desired mode. See Access study modes and pages
  2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
  3. Locate the subject added in error and select it.

    Tip:

You can filter your view based on your desired criteria. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
If you have just added the subject and are viewing the visit screen, select Return to All Subjects, then select it from the subjects list.
  4. From the Manage drop-down, select Undo Add Subject.
  5. In the pop-up window, confirm your action by selecting Continue.

Once a subject has been removed, it will no longer appear on the subjects list page and its subject number can be reused.

In Oracle Clinical One Analytics datasets, NULL is displayed for SUBJECT_NUMBER when a subject is removed using the Undo Add Subject function. For more information, see Dataset descriptions.
