Update a value on a completed form

Go back and update a question on a form, such as when you discover a data-entry error. This procedure also applies to rollover studies.

Note:

If you enter data that doesn't meet the requirements specified by the sponsor in the form fields, a message explains why the answer does not meet the required criteria.

Be aware that a previously selected code list value that is later hidden in the code list remains selected until you update the question value and the changes are saved; the value is appears faded, moved to the top of the list, and removed from your selection when you return to the form.

1. On the Home page, determine where to work. For more information, see Access study modes and pages.
2. Along the top, make sure Subjects is selected.
3. Filter your view based on your criteria. For more information, see Filter subjects in a study.
4. Select the visit you want to update.
5. In the form, click the field that you want to update and make the required changes.
6. Enter a reason for the change and select Submit.

   For example, if you are re-screening a subject who has become eligible for the study since their initial screening visit, indicate that you are updating the value to re-screen the subject at a later date.

7. Select Save at the bottom of the form to keep the form open, or select Save & Close to save your changes and return to the Subjects table.
8. If you need to re-screen the subject because of the incorrect value, select Screen at the bottom of the form.
9. If applicable, in all other visits, select Dispense.

   If you already dispensed a kit to the subject and are updating a value that doesn't affect dispensation, you can select View Dispensation to see which kit the subject received.

Depending on a form's status, you may see one of the following status icons on the Forms sidebar:

• When complete, a form displays a Complete icon .
• When a required question is not answered, a form displays an Incomplete icon .
• When a required question contains a validation error, a form displays a Validation error icon .
