Understand query statuses

The status of a query helps users identify whether they need to take action for that query.

Query statuses explained

Table 5-4 Query statuses

Status Description
Opened A query that has been viewed by a user, but has not yet had any work performed on it.
Candidate A query that is only visible to sponsor users. Used whenever a query requires internal review before assigning it to a site.
Answered A query that has received an answer from the site it is assigned to. Sponsor users can choose to either re-open or close the query.
Closed A query that has either been closed by a sponsor user or has been closed automatically based on subject data update.
Deleted A candidate query that has been marked for deletion by a sponsor user.
