Automated Metadata Management for Clinical One

Automated Metadata Management is an optional feature you can enable for Clinical One data loads that propagates some system metadata changes through the Oracle DMW lifecycles.

System metadata changes detected in Clinical One data loads can be passed through each Oracle DMW lifecycle automatically if the metadata changes are limited to:

• Newly-added columns to any pre-existing, non-clinical Clinical One datasets.
• Increases in length of any pre-existing (non-clinical) columns in any pre-existing Clinical One datasets.

Additionally, the following criteria must be met in order to apply the above metadata changes through the lifecycles: •

• The Clinical One Approved Study Version matches the DMW Production Study Version.
• The Clinical One TEST and Active lifecycles have identical metadata.
• All DMW Lifecycles have identical metadata and all objects are checked in.

Note:

To use Automated Metadata Management, you need to have all roles and permissions associated with promoting and loading metadata throughout all the lifecycles.

To enable Automated Metadata Management for Clinical One data models, set the AutoMD_ENABLED profile to YES.
