Unpack the Oracle Empirica Signal 2025.4.03 files

On the application server running Oracle Empirica Signal 2025.4.01 or 2025.4.02, start a command shell.

1. As the non-privileged user, on the application server running Oracle Empirica Signal2025.4.01 or or 2025.4.02, start a command shell using, for example, Putty.
2. Create a temporary directory named <Signal2025403> (for example, /u01/stage/Signal2025403) and unpack ESI_2025.4.03.zip into it.
3. In the temporary directory, open the file update_Signal.sh and verify that the directory /u01/stage/Signal_Install, specified in the file, exists.
4. From the temporary directory, give the shell script execute permissions and run it:
   $ chmod +x update_Signal.sh.
   $ ./update_Signal.sh.
5. Verify that the script prints Completed and that there are no errors.
6. Verify that there is a backup copy of /u01/stage/Signal_Install; for example, Signal_Install.2025_4_01_bkp or Signal_Install.2025_4_02_bkp..
7. Verify the /u01/stage/Signal_Install directory includes the following files, where xxx is the build number: Signal-2025_4_02_0_xxx.jar and EmpiricaCore-2025_4_03_0_xxx.jar.
