Step IV: Deploy TopicServiceR application

In this step you will unlock, deploy, and lock the TopicServiceR server again.

Note:

You must perform steps I through III before moving to step IV.

1. From the Weblogic Server drop-down, select Deployments.
2. From the Change Center drop-down on the upper right, select Lock & Edit
3. In the Deployments table drop-down, select Deploy for the Install Application Assistant wizard to appear.
4. On the Select Archive page select the following to deploy Java EE applications:
   1. In the Archive or Exploded Directory section, select the radio-button Archive or exploded directory is on the server where Enterprise Manager is running.
   2. Select Browse to access the TopicsServiceR library and type in for example scratch/u01/stage/Signal_Install/TopicsServiceR.
   3. On the Deployment Plan section, select the radio-button Create a new deployment plan when deployment configuration is done.
   4. On the Deployment Type section, select from the radio-button Deploy this archive or exploded directory as a an application.
   5. Select Next.
5. On the Select Target page, select TopicsServerR and select Next.
6. On the Application Attributes page, under the Other Options section:
   • In the Distribution section, select Install and start application (servicing all requests).
   • In the Application Source Accessibility section, select Use the defaults defined by the deployment's targets. Recommended selection.
7. Select Next and Deploy for the Deployment Succeeded message to appear on a Summary page. TopicsServerR appears with a New state in the Deployments table.
8. In the Change Center pane, select Activate Changes for TopicsServiceR to appear with an Active state in the Deployments table.
9. In the Domain Structure pane, select Deployments.
10. In the Change Center pane, select Lock & Edit.
