Enhancements in release 20.2

Release 20.2 introduced the following enhancements in Oracle Life Sciences Identity and Access Management Service.

Enable federation at the tenant level

As a CDA, you can now opt-in to access federation-enabled applications and a federation-supported Sign In page by raising a request to Health Sciences Support.

Access federated applications using your Exostar credentials

To log in to federated applications using your Exostar credentials, you must link your Exostar and Oracle Life Sciences IAMS accounts. To do so, log in using your Exostar credentials, and authenticate yourself by entering your Oracle Life Sciences IAMS single sign-on. You must then accept a declaration that you are the owner of both the Exostar and Oracle Life Sciences IAMS accounts.

Access non-federated applications using your Oracle Health IAMS single sign-on

To log in to non-federated applications, you must log in with your Oracle Life Sciences IAMS single sign-on. The login page does not display the Exostar login option.

E-sign documents using your Exostar credentials

With federation enabled, if you choose to log in using your Exostar credentials, you now use those same credentials to e-sign documents.

Access trials across multiple tenants using your Exostar credentials

After an Exostar account is linked with multiple Oracle Life Sciences IAMS tenants, you can log in to trials across multiple tenants using your Exostar credentials.

The business service onboarding process is now automated

With this release of Oracle Life Sciences IAMS, the following tasks to provision a business service are automated. Prior to this release, these tasks were manually performed by a CDA, once for each role (ClinicalOne_Production, IntegrationHub_UI_Production, and ClinicalOne_Production_AssignGlobalRoles).

  • Enable Self-service Authorization Request - To enable a self-service request access to Oracle Clinical One Platform.
  • Activate Approvals - To activate an approval workflow so that you can approve user requests to access Oracle Clinical One Platform.
  • Publish to Oracle Org - Publish to the Oracle organization so that Oracle users can be granted access to Oracle Clinical One Platform.
