About InForm Reporting Cognos installations and upgrades
This guide provides instructions on how to install, upgrade, and configure IBM Cognos Analytics 11.2.4 FP2 for use with supported InForm versions.
As of the InForm 6.2 release, there is no longer a dependency between versions of the InForm core software and IBM Cognos Analytics.
- InForm Reporting Cognos installations can be installed or upgraded independent of the core InForm software version (for selected Cognos patches and versions certified by Oracle).
- InForm can support multiple (Oracle Certified) IBM Cognos Analytics versions and patch levels, and IBM Cognos Analytics versions can be updated without requiring an upgrade to InForm.

In releases prior to InForm 6.2, the InForm Reporting module for a given InForm version was dependent on a single, compatible version of IBM Cognos Analytics. This dependency required that a Cognos upgrade also required an InForm upgrade, which had to be completed at the same time.
