Intake Form enhancements
The Intake Form has been refactored in 2026.1.01 to match the functionality of the Argus Case Form. Additional enhancements include support for multi-lingual fields; an updated document panel for source files; and a Quality Check pane where you can quickly review areas of the Intake Form that require attention.
One-to-one mapping with the Case Form
You can think of the Intake Form as a subset of your existing Argus Case Form. This release introduces one-to-one mapping from the Intake Form with the fields configured in the Argus Case Form, ensuring that code list values and customized Case Form field properties are consistently captured during intake. The fields displayed to you on the Intake Form also inherit the user group level access configured in Argus Console.
Redesigned User Interface
The redesigned Intake Form header displays the following:
- Intake ID
- Seriousness indicators
- Status and current task for the selected record
- Aware date
- Country of origin
- Study and Patient IDs, if applicable
- Source of the intake record
- Any actions you can take on the record
Below the header, the Intake Form is split into three panes:
- Source document viewer
- Interactive Intake Form, where you can view and update information extracted from the source document(s)
- Navigation and Quality Check pane, where you can click through areas of the Intake Form that need attention
Expanded and updated field support
- Multiple languages can now be captured and translated in the Intake Form.
Note:
You must open a Change Request (CR) to configure and use the translation service. - You can now perform code list lookups on fields such as Reporter, Study, Literature, Company, and Product.
- Auto-calculated fields are now supported.
- Event and drug coding are supported via MedDRA and WHODrug.
- Label, Null Flavors, Hidden, and PII properties on the Intake From use predefined settings aligned with ICH guidelines when applicable. You can view the settings in the Safety One Argus Intake Field List spreadsheet in the eTRM documentation.
Note:
If you would like the Intake Form to display the Label, Null Flavor, Null Flavor Set, and Hidden properties the same way they appear on the Case Form, and have these properties synchronized to the Case Form field configuration, you need to submit a CR with the relevant details. - If you have made changes to the Argus ready-to-use configuration of common profile switches to display patient and parent initials and date of birth based on User Group data access, you will need to submit a CR with the relevant details.
PII and Blinded Data handling
- The display of fields containing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in the Intake Form is determined by your user credentials.
- This behavior is configured at the Case Form section level in Argus Console > Access Management > User Groups > Case Form.
- If your user account is not configured to view PII, the field displays the value as [PII Restricted].
- If your user account has the setting Protect from Unblinded Information enabled, blinded fields show as [Blinded] on the Intake Form.
Document pane enhancements
- The source document pane initially displays the primary document so you can compare it side by side with the Intake Form fields. All source documents, emails, and attachments can be accessed from the document pane.
- Navigate between multiple source documents by using the Case Files drop-down menu.
- You can access the Attachments interface (which loads in the Intake Form section of the screen) by selecting Manage Documents on the Case Files drop-down menu.
- You can expand and detach the document pane for more flexibility in your digital workspace.
- An in-line preview is now available for E2B reports.
Navigation and Quality Check panel
- The redesigned Intake Form contains a navigation pane, accessed by selecting Case, as well as the new Quality Check feature, accessed by selecting Quality Check.
Note:
Quality Check is only available in the navigation pane when there are issues present in the Intake Form. - The Case navigation pane lists all the sections of the Intake Form. Clicking on a section in the navigation pane opens the selected area of the Intake Form in the center of the screen.
- The Quality Check panel displays any areas of the Intake Form that require manual intervention or correction before the intake record can be processed. Selecting an item in the Quality Check pane reloads the Intake Form in the center pane to bring you directly to the field that requires attention.
Audit log enhancements for Intake Form
- The Utilities > Logs > Audit Log now tracks the changes made to intake records.
- The Export History option from Expand details is no longer available. You can access the export history using the Intake Record category in the Audit Log.
