Reassign Payment Location's Account

Reassign a location from one account to another.

For details about required privileges, see Predefined Payment Groups and Privileges.

You must be an owner of the current business account it is assigned to and also the business account you want to reassign it to.

To reassign a location to another business account, the original business account must be assigned to the same business unit as the new business account.

You can use the search function to quickly find the payment location you want to reassign. If searching for a sub-location, its primary parent location shows in the results and you can drill-down from there to the sub-location.

Reassign a Parent Payment Location

  1. Click Locations at the bottom of the dashboard, and then click the location you want to reassign.
  2. Click More Actions and then click Edit Location Details.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Select the Business Account you want to reassign the location to.
  5. Click Save.

The location will have a pending status until the reassignment is complete, and then the status updates to active.

Reassign a Sub-location Payment Location

  1. Click Locations at the bottom of the dashboard, click the location with the sub-location, and then click the sub-location.
  2. Click More Actions and then click Edit Location Details.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Select the Business Account you want to reassign the location to.
  5. Click Save.

The location will have a pending status until the reassignment is complete, and then the status updates to active.
