Terminal Menus Guide
This section describes how to access and use the menu functions available on approved Oracle Payment Cloud Service payment devices. The information is applicable across supported terminal models. Menu labels and navigation may vary slightly depending on device type and configuration.
Oracle Payment Terminals are integrated with Oracle Payment Cloud Service and are designed to process transactions initiated from connected POS or PMS systems. While terminals include menu-driven functionality, it is typically limited to operational, diagnostic, and support-related activities.
Access the Terminal Menus
The method for accessing the terminal menu depends on the terminal type:
Terminals with a Physical Keypad
- Settings Menu: Press 9, then the Confirm key (green circle),
- Transactions Menu: Press 8, then the Confirm key (green circle)
- Select an option and enter the administrator passcode when prompted.
Touchscreen Only Terminals (No Physical Keypad)
- Tap the screen to wake the device.
- Settings Menu: Select the Settings icon.
- Transactions Menu: Select the Transactions icon.
- Select an option and enter the administrator passcode when prompted.
Additional Notes
- Menu structure and options may vary by terminal model and configuration.
- Some features may require enablement by Oracle.
- Not all menu options are available in every deployment.
Settings Menu
The Settings menu allows basic terminal configuration.
Available options may include:
- Device Information – View terminal details such as model, serial number, software version, configuration version, and payment location (store).
Tip: This can also be accessed where a keypad is present, by pressing 5, then the Confirm key (green circle).
- Network - Set up Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity.
- Software - View the firmware version, See Understanding Firmware Updates
- Configuration - View the configuration version.
- Display - Adjust the screen brightness.
- Diagnostics - The diagnostic menu is used for troubleshooting and support. Only run diagnostics when instructed by Oracle Support.
- Diagnostic Report - Sends a report for support.
- PSP Connection - Checks network connectivity and payment processor reachability.
- Terminal API - Checks that the terminal can successfully communicate with the payment system and is ready to process transactions.
- Endpoints - Checks that the terminal can reach the required online services it depends on to function properly.
- NFC antenna - Checks that the device can read a contactless card.
- Chip card reader - Checks that the device can read an inserted card.
- Swipe reader - Checks that the device can read a swiped card.
- Apps - Overview of apps installed on the device.
- Power - For restarting or powering off the device.
Caution: Software updates are managed and deployed by Oracle. Do not initiate updates unless instructed by Oracle Support.
Transactions Menu
The Transactions menu provides access to transaction records.
Available options:
- History - View recent transactions.
- Totals - View batch totals and summaries.
- New Transaction – Not available
Note: Oracle Payments does not support standalone transactions initiated directly from the terminal outside of integrated workflows.

- Terminal serial number
- Organization name and payment location
- Description of the issue
If you need access to the administrator passcode:
- Contact your organization’s Payment Administrator, or
- Raise a request with Oracle Support including the details above
