Noteworthy Enhancements
This guide outlines the information you need to know about new or improved functionality in the Oracle Retail Customer Engagement (ORCE) update and describes any tasks you might need to perform for the update. Each section includes a brief description of the feature, the steps you need to take to enable or begin using the feature, any tips or considerations that you should keep in mind, and the resources available to help you.

Scale: Identifies the size of the feature. Options are:

Small: These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
- Medium: These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is moderate.

Large: These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

Delivered: Is the new feature available for use immediately after upgrade or must the feature be enabled or configured? If no, the feature is non-disruptive to end users and action is required (detailed steps below) to make the feature ready to use.
- Customer Action Required: You must take action before these features can be used. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them.

New Feature Descriptions
This section describes the new features.
Exchange Rate Web Service
A new Exchange Rate REST web service is added into ORCE. It allows a retailer to manage exchange rates between systems. The following features are included:
- The ability to post a new exchange rate is added. This also includes the ability to retrieve the base currency and exchange currency to use when posting an exchange rate.
- The ability is added to retrieve the current exchange rate for all base currency and exchange currency combinations.
- The ability is added to retrieve the exchange rate history for a specific base and exchange currency combination.
Bounceback E-Award Promotion
The Bounceback promotion type is used to award the customer loyalty points, an entitlement coupon, and now also includes the ability to add an e-award when the qualifying items are purchased during the promotional period. The following features are included:
- The options to e-award when creating the Bounceback Promotion will be available for selection.
- The View Promotion screen includes the e-award details.
- The Promotion Scorecard includes the e-award details.
- Post Transaction processing will trigger issuing Bounceback loyalty points, entitlement coupons, and now also includes e-awards for active Bounceback promotions.
applyDeals Modification
A new version 3 of the applyDeals web service is created to include the discount amount tied to award items. This allows a retailer to show which items on the receipt are award items and the discount for each. The following features are included:
- A new field awardAmount is added to the discountRewards element.
- The existing amountOff is renamed to discountAmount to be consistent with other elements.
