1 Introduction
This Administration Guide describes how administrators configure and manage Retail Home to control the user experience, data visibility, and system behavior. It focuses on administrative tasks that define how Retail Home is structured and used within an organization. These tasks include:
- Configuring applications and navigation
- Managing roles and controlling access to content
- Setting up dashboards, tiles, and banners
- Integrating data sources and reports
- Configuring notifications and system behavior
- Managing integrations, data movement, and localization
Administrators use these capabilities to control what users can access, what information is displayed, and how the system behaves across different roles.
Supported User Experiences
Oracle Retail Home supports multiple user interface experiences. The active experience is controlled at the environment level and applies to all users.
- Current UI (Legacy UI)- Dashboard-driven interface with menu-based navigation
- Redwood UI (Home with Ask Oracle)- Modern experience with search-driven navigation and AI-assisted interaction
Administrators can control which experience is enabled for users through the Interface Settings configuration.
To switch between the Legacy and Ask Oracle UI:
- Open the Settings (Legacy UI) or Ask Oracle menu.
- Search for Interface Settings, or navigate to: Configurations & Integrations - Interface Settings.
- Toggle the Use Legacy Interface setting ON or OFF as required.
- Save the changes. Changes to the interface setting apply to all users in the environment.
