1 Introduction to Retail Home

Oracle Retail Home provides a centralized, role-based web portal where you can access the data, applications, and insights most relevant to your work. It serves as your launch pad into the Oracle Retail ecosystem, enabling you to quickly move from high-level insights to detailed actions.

Built on the Redwood user experience, Oracle Retail Home gives you a modern, intelligent workspace where you can find information, take action, and navigate across retail solutions with ease. You can access merchandising applications, analytics, and other Oracle Retail systems from a single entry point.

You can also use Oracle Retail Home to view role-specific insights tailored to your responsibilities, whether you are a buyer, planner, inventory analyst, promotional manager, or an administrative user. The system surfaces relevant metrics, notifications, and recommendations to help you stay informed and act quickly.

If your organization uses Oracle Retail Insights, you can explore thousands of pre-integrated metrics directly within your workspace. You can also use Oracle Retail Home as a starting point to access your other connected applications.

With Ask, you can interact with the system using natural language. You can ask questions, or request insights without navigating through menus. Oracle Retail Home responds with relevant answers, or recommended actions, helping you move faster from question to outcome.

Supported User Experiences

Oracle Retail Home supports two user experiences:

  • Legacy UI

A dashboard-driven experience that presents information through tiles, metrics, and role-based dashboards.

  • Home with Ask Oracle (hereby referred to as HWAO) Experience

A modern experience that enables navigation using search, product map, and AI-driven interaction.

Supported User Experiences

Oracle Retail Home currently supports two user experiences. Your organization may use one or both during transition. The active experience is configured by an administrator and applies to all users in the environment.

  • Current UI

    • The existing Retail Home interface used in earlier releases.
    • Supports the core navigation and task flows documented in this guide.
    • Continues to be supported for users who have not yet moved to Home With Ask Oracle (HWAO) experience.
  • New Redwood UI - HWAO

    • The new Redwood-based experience that introduces Ask Oracle capabilities.
    • Provides a modernized interface with updated navigation and interaction patterns.
    • Includes Redwood-specific workflows and guidance where behavior differs from the Current UI.

Note:

For topics where steps are different, this guide calls out each experience explicitly. Use the labels in each section to identify whether instructions apply to Both UIs, Current UI only, Redwood UI only.

If you are unsure which experience you are using, check your page layout and navigation style, then follow the matching instructions in that section.
