Techstack Update
RICS Infrastructure Certified with Java 21
RICS infrastructure components are now certified with Java 21, and other app server libraries have been updated,
RICS core applications such as Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB), Oracle Retail Bulk Data Integration (BDI), Universal Service Mapper (USM), and Retail Financial Integration (RFI) continue to leverage the existing technical stack with no changes in this release.
RICS Infrastructure Components
Service Resiliency
In this update, there have been enhancements to improve service call resiliency for S3, FTS, and Oracle Retail Process Orchestration and Monitoring (POM). To ensure near seamless interactions with dependent services, robust resiliency measures for RESTful API calls to S3, FTS, and POM have been implemented. In the event of network disruptions or temporary service unavailability, the system is designed to automatically retry failed requests after brief intervals (typically three attempts with 30-second delays). This proactive approach minimizes downtime and ensures reliable communication among applications.
Continuous Improvements in RICS Provisioning/Patching Stability
This update includes continuous improvements in RICS provisioning/patching stability. Various minor DevOps improvements are incorporated in this release to ensure reduced patch time, stability of RICS patching and more streamlined post-patch validations.
