1 Feature Summary

Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service 25.1.401.0 is a Critical Update.

This section describes the feature enhancements in this release.

Supported Retail Integration Products

The Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service (RICS) is composed of the Oracle Retail Integration Suite of products that are cloud deployable for a customer's integration to Oracle Retail applications and the customer's on-premises or hybrid configurations of third-party applications.

The integration products supported and mentioned in this document are the same as the generally available on-premises versions of the following applications:

  • Oracle Retail Integration Bus (RIB)

  • Oracle Retail Bulk Data Integration (BDI)

  • Retail Financial Integration (RFI)

  • Universal service Mapper (USM).

Column Definitions

  • Feature: Provides a description of the feature being delivered.

  • Module Impacted: Identifies the module impacted associated with the feature, if any.

  • Scale: Identifies the size of the feature. Options are:

    • Small: These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.

    • Medium: These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is moderate.

    • Large: These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.

  • Delivered: Is the new feature available for use immediately after upgrade or must the feature be enabled or configured? If no, the feature is non-disruptive to end users and action is required (detailed steps below) to make the feature ready to use.

  • Customer Action Required: You must take action before these features can be used. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them.

New and Updated Options

DMT 2.0 is now Supported for RICS

This tool facilitates the migration of database schemas between source and destination environments. DMT 2.0 broadly supports the following operations:

  • ADB Cloning: Enables cloning when both the source and destination environments are on the Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) database.

  • Export: Allows the export of database schemas from the target environment, typically when the database is deployed on Database as a Service (DBaaS).

  • Import: Supports importing schemas into the target environment. This can be done using a previously generated export data dump or by creating a new one from a selected source environment. Note that both the source and target environments must be on the same application and database version.

  • Environment-specific tables are restored from the source tables. Details of these tables are maintained in the DM_EXCLUDED_TABLES_LIST table within the relevant schemas.

Weblogic Internal Schema Separation in ATP

The Weblogic internal schema created by RCU will be decoupled from the application database and migrated to a dedicated Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) database. This separation is intended to reduce operational complexity during data migration and refresh activities.

RDS Replication Support Restricted to RIB-RMS Schema: Transition Guidance for Existing Users

RDS replication is supported exclusively for the RIB-RMS schema. Replication for any other RICS schemas is not supported. Existing customers who currently access data from various RICS schemas via RDS may continue using their existing integrations on a temporary basis, until a suitable alternative solution is implemented.

RICS Certified on Oracle 23ai

RICS components – RIB, BDI, RFI, USM and Tools, are now certified to operate on Oracle Database 23ai platform, leveraging native 23ai features such high-availability clustering, improved efficiency, scalability, and data integrity for enterprise workloads.
