Sending Under Review Order Updates through RICS Integration
Order Broker now uses the Oracle Retail Integration Cloud Service (RICS) integration to notify Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (RMFCS) or Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM) when a delivery order’s “Under Review” status changes.
The “Under Review” flag indicates whether the order is eligible for fulfillment. For example, if the order was authorized in the originating system, such as Order Management System, and then the authorization expires, the originating system can update the “Under Review” flag for the order to indicate that it is not currently eligible for fulfillment.
Order Broker already enables you to prevent sending held orders to RMFCS or SIM if they were currently under review, based on the existing Hold Under Review setting at the System screen. This current enhancement supports generating the notification when the eligibility of an order that has already been submitted to RMFCS or SIM changes.
Order Broker generates the new notification when:
-
The order is a Delivery order, and
-
The order status is currently Posted, Polled, Accepted, or Picked, and
-
The setting of the “Under Review” flag changes.
Duplicate Status Updates Will No Longer Send Error Response to RICS
Order Broker no longer sends an error response through the RICS integration when it receives a status update request from RICS that indicates a status that is already assigned to the order or line. Instead, Order Broker now returns a success response, and logs the event in the error.log file.
The success response is also sent, and an error logged, if:
-
The current status of the line is fulfilled, or
-
The current status of the line is canceled, if the Restrict Reassignment of Canceled Line setting at the Preferences screen is selected.
Pause Availability Messages from RICS During Probable Quantity Export
With this update, Order Broker will now send RICS a request to stop availability updates when the probable quantity export job runs, and a request to start again when the export is complete. This change prevents contention for inventory updates if the RICS integration is enabled. Order Broker sends this request if the RICS Integration Online flag at the System screen is set to Yes.
Note:
The User ID specified at the RICS Integration tab at the System screen needs to have the Operator or Admin role in RIB in order for the STOP request to stop the generation of the availability update messages.Set Partial Delivery Indicator to Y in RICS Create Fulfillment Order Message
With this update, Order Broker sets the Partial Delivery Indicator
(partial_delivery_ind) to Y in the Create Fulfillment
Order message to RICS if the organization has the Allow
Split Order flag at the Preferences screen is selected.
Restricting the Reassignment of Canceled Lines
A new setting at the Preferences screen enables you to prevent updates to canceled orders or order lines through the order status update request message.
If the Restrict Reassignment of Canceled Line preference is selected and an order status update request indicates to change the status of an order or line that is in canceled status, the response message returns response code 17, indicating that the status is invalid. A message is written to Status History for each line where the update was restricted, for example, Accepted Status Update Restricted, where Accepted is the status specified in an order status update request message.
When the new preference is selected, you can still change the status of a canceled order or line through:
-
the Order screen, if the Allow Split Order preference is not selected, or
-
the Edit Order Item window, if the Allow Split Order preference is selected.
