Object Storage Support for RTLOG Submission

With this update, Order Management System now supports transferring data files to the Sales Audit Module of the Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (Sales Audit module) version 21.0 and later through the file transfer service when the SNDRTLOG periodic function is run.

Note:

Object storage is supported in the Sales Audit module version 21.0 and later.

New periodic functions: Run the new SNDRTLG periodic function after running the existing RTLOG periodic function in order to submit the generated RTLOG file to object storage for the Sales Audit module. Also, if necessary, you can use the new RCVRTLG periodic function to resubmit the RTLOG file if the Sales Audit module did not receive it.

New outbound web service authentication:The new process requires that you set up outbound authentication (WWSA) for the Sales Audit File Service, using an authentication type of OAuth.

New system control values: You need to complete the following new system control values to submit the RTLOG file to object storage.

  • Sales Audit File Service URL (M64): Defines the endpoint for the SNDRTLG periodic function to use when submitting the RTLOG file to object storage.

  • Sales Audit Import Folder Path (M65): Defines the folder where RTLOG files should be placed when you are using object storage.

  • IDCS Enterprise Endpoint Scope (M66): Defines the limits that control where the OAuth token can be used to support posting to object storage.

  • IDCS Enterprise Endpoint URL (M67): Defines the endpoint to use for OAuth authentication to support posting to object storage.

Note:

The IDCS Enterprise Endpoint Scope and IDCS Enterprise Endpoint URL system control values have been added to the Enterprise Integration Values (M41) screen.

If one of the new periodic functions fails, the Order Management System Support Notification email is generated. For example, the function might fail because authentication settings were not entered correctly.

New container in the FILE_STORAGE table: A new OMS-SALES-AUDIT container in the FILE_STORAGE table contains RTLOG zip files sent through the new SNDRTLG periodic function.
