Create Rules

Note:

Rule creation and deletion is currently unavailable, so the associated actions are not available. Users can only view existing rules and make limited updates (such as descriptions or status).

Users with permission to edit rules, can create new rules to be used in the Quality Control screens:

  1. From the side menu, choose Configuration Management and then choose Rule Engine Configuration.

  2. Click the + icon. The Manage Rule dialog box is displayed. This image shows the Manage Rule dialog box.
  3. Add the following details:
    1. Rule Key (Mandatory) - Unique
    2. Rule Name (Mandatory)
    3. App Alias (Mandatory)
      • Select Quality Control
    4. Rule Mode (Mandatory)
      • Batch (only Batch is available at the moment)
    5. Status (Mandatory)
      • Active
      • Inactive

  4. To create the rule, click Create.

    To cancel creating the rule, click Cancel. The dialog box is closed and the new rule is not created.

  5. Select the rule. This image shows the Rule Engine screen.
  6. Add the necessary details under Rule Detail:
    • Batch Database Functions
    • Threading Information
    • Rule Parameters

Note:

To save the data in the detail tables, Save needs to be selected in each table.
