RFID Adjustments
In EICS, during processing, changes to the state of an RFID tag may increase or decrease the amount of stock. This generates an RFID adjustment that captures the inventory change to notify external systems. Since these adjustments can happen rapidly and can be out of sync with other activity affecting the state of the tag, the system holds onto these adjustments for a short period of time in an RFID adjustment table. These adjustments are processed all at once at time increments and the amount of inventory changes are summed up. For example, if there is an increase of 10 for a count of Item 123 RFID tags and a decrease of 7 for a count of Item 123 RFID tags, then only +3 inventory will be published to the external system when the publish is triggered.
Note:
Internal inventory is always updated immediately.
