Configuring Usage History Charts

The usage history charts in the Usage tab provide multiple views of the customer's usage history.

The Billing and Usage Display Configuration (C1-C360Configuration) controls the Usage Values drop-down, Usage - Year View chart series, and Cost and Usage - Table View settings. Use the details below to configure your charts to display as you want them.

Configure the Usage Values Drop-Down

  1. Open Master Configuration Query and select Billing and Usage Display Configuration, select Edit, and expand General Configuration.
  2. Expand Usage Values Drop-Down.
  3. Add a row for each value that you want to display in the chart and complete these fields for each:
    • Display Sequence
    • Service Type
    • Unit of Measure
    • Cost/Usage

      Note:

      Select the Cost / Usage value that matches the applicable service and business requirement.
  4. Save your changes.

Configure Usage - Year View Chart Series

Use the steps below to configure your usage charts. Be aware of the following:

  • Use a separate row for each consumed, generated, or time-of-use series to display.
  • Use distinct colors for series that display together.
  • For time-of-use configurations, add rows for the applicable time-of-use values, such as Off peak, On peak, and Shoulder peak, and assign a distinct color to each displayed series.
  1. Expand Usage - Year View, and then expand Service Quantities and Color Configuration.
  2. Add or select the applicable rate schedule.
  3. For each chart series, set the following values:
    • Display Sequence
    • Unit of Measure
    • Time of Use (if applicable)
    • SQI
    • Color
  4. Save your changes.

Configure Cost and Usage - Table View

Configure the service-type selector and the service quantities to display.

  1. Expand Cost and Usage - Table View, and then expand Service Type Selector.
  2. Add the service types that users must be able to select and set their display sequence.

Configure Service Quantities to Display

  1. Expand Service Quantities to Display.
  2. Add or select the required rate schedule.
  3. For each row, complete the following fields:
    • Display Sequence
    • Unit of Measure
    • Time of Use, if applicable
    • SQI
  4. Verify that the rows align with the corresponding Usage - Year View series.
  5. Save your changes.

Verify the Configuration

After you complete the configuration, verify that the charts display correctly in the Customer Intelligence Hub.

  1. Open Customer Intelligence Hub for an account with data that matches the configured service type and rate schedule.
  2. On the Usage tab, verify that the drop-down, chart series, and colors match the master configuration.
