Configuring GIS Integration

The Inbound File-based GIS integration reads an input file containing GIS features placed at a location accessible by the Work and Asset Management application in order to create assets and asset locations. This is an alternative approach to the Legacy GIS integration. The GIS File Upload batch (W1GISUPL) process is used for uploading the records.

The Outbound File-based GIS Integration extracts asset information to an output file and is placed at a location accessible by the Work and Asset Management application. This is an alternative approach to the Sync Request outbound process. The GIS File Extract batch (W1GISEXT) process is used for extracting the records.
