3 Requirements and Limitations

The Advanced Rates Engagement cloud service comes with a set of utility and customer requirements. These requirements must be met for a utility and a customer to participate in the program.

Required Professional Services Utilities must purchase or have already implemented the following professional services in their cloud order (or the equivalent through a standalone professional services order) to enable proper operation of the Advanced Rates Engagement Cloud Service:
  • Oracle Utilities Opower Customer/Billing Integration & Platform Cloud Service Setup Fee
  • Oracle Utilities Opower AMI Integration and Platform Cloud Service Setup Fee
  • Rates modeling purchased either through a standalone professional services order or through Oracle Utilities Opower Hourly Program Services – Fixed Price

Billing Frequency Varies by feature. See the feature descriptions under Advanced Rates Engagement for more information.
Data Delivery Frequency Varies by setup and implementation. Most features require monthly data delivery for usage, account, and premise data, as well as daily or weekly data delivery for AMI data. Your Delivery Team will work closely with you to define the requirements for your situation.
Data Requirements

Billing and AMI Data: Most features require billing or daily AMI data (or a combination of the two) to provide the best customer experience. Additional data requirements vary by feature. See the feature descriptions under Advanced Rates Engagement for more information.

Rates Data Transfer: The utility must use the Entity Attribute data transfer standard to send customer billing and rate attributes information to Oracle Utilities.

Rates Modeling: Rates modeling is required during initial program setup, and is not included in the cost of the cloud service. See Rates Analysis, Modeling, and Data Integration for more information.
