Configure Data Model Search
Indexing
You can configure how and when subject areas are indexed from the
Data Model tab (Search Index
page).
On your home page, click Navigator, then click Console.
Under Configuration and Settings, click
Search Index.
In the Data Model tab, click Enable Data Model
Crawl.
In User to Run Crawl As, click
Search and enter a user that is a member of the
BIDataModelAuthor or
BIServiceAdministrator application roles.
Select a language or hold down Ctrl to select multiple
languages.
Under Select Data Models to Index, select the Homepage Search checkbox for
each of the data models and columns you want to include in the index.
Select a Crawl Status for the data models and columns
you want to index.
Select the Sensitive Data checkbox to restrict indexed
data to authorized users.
Only users with access to the column can see the indexed data. The
Sensitive Data option increases runtime overhead
for search indexing. Use it only when necessary.
Enter Synonyms at the column level suitable for your
organization.
Click Save.
Optional: Click Run Now to rebuild the search index with your changes.
