Configure Subject Area Indexing for Home Page Search

You can use the Data Model tab (Search Index page) to configure which subject areas are indexed and available to users searching for content on the home page and generating visualizations directly from a home page search bar.

  1. On your home page, click Navigator Navigator icon used to display the Navigator, then click Console.
  2. Under Configuration and Settings, click Search Index.
  3. In the Data Model tab, select the Homepage Search check box for each subject area you want to make available to the home page search.
    To limit which columns are returned when users search from the home page and available for visualization generation, expand the subject area and select the Homepage Search check box only for the columns you want.
  4. Click Save Save icon.
  5. Optional: Click Run NowRun Now to rebuild the search index with your changes.
