An application has many transitions, and LifecycleListener provides
a way to insert code into those sequences. For ex: an application can be
stopped, or it can be simultaneously stopped and removed, or it can be
removed after being stopped much earlier. In the latter case, the preStop
is the only occurrence. In that case, the callback for removal will not
be preceded by a preStop.
The application has just received the command to either be stopped or
removed (or both). At the time of this callback, no ADF services have
been dismantled. Therefore, this is the only safe time during this
sequence where you can dependably refer to any services.
