How to Configure PTP (Third Party PTP)

  1. Assume the root role on a cluster node.
  2. On each node of the cluster, disable the NTP SMF service.
    phys-schost# svcadm disable ntp
  3. On each node of the cluster, ensure that the cluster software will not re-enable NTP service upon reboot of the node, which can interfere with PTP.
    phys-schost# /usr/bin/touch /etc/cluster/notntp
