keysource ZFS Encryption Property

For ZFS cluster file systems, you must specify the value of the keysource property value. The value includes the format (hex) and location of the wrapping key (cluster:keyname ) as follows:

keysource=hex,cluster:keyname

Where hex,cluster keywords indicate that the encryption key is a hexadecimal number (hex) and that ZFS must contact Oracle Solaris Cluster for the wrapping key (cluster). keyname specifies the name of the unique Oracle Solaris Cluster encryption key. You use the cldevicegroup key-create command to create the encryption key associated with keyname. For more information about the keysource property, see Encrypting ZFS File Systems in Managing ZFS File Systems in Oracle Solaris 11.4.
