Requirements for ZFS Cluster File System Encryption

To use this feature, you must run at least the following software versions:

  • Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU 33

  • Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.4 SRU 10

You can encrypt a ZFS cluster file system upon its creation. To ensure that the encryption key is available during Oracle Solaris Cluster failovers and switchovers, you must specify the cluster as the location of the encryption key in the keysource property value.
