Remove an Existing Predefined Zone

Cockpit administrators, as needed, can remove the configuration an existing firewalld predefined zone using the Networking page in the web console.

Steps

Using the Cockpit web console, follow these steps to remove an existing zone-based firewall configuration on the host system.

  1. In the Networking page, find the Firewall panel and click Edit rules and zones.

    A Firewall page appears listing information for the current zone configuration(s).

  2. In the Firewall page, perform the following steps:
    1. Find the name of the zone (for example, work zone).
    2. Click the actions [] menu (associated with the zone to be removed) and select Delete.

      The selected zone is removed from the Firewall page.
