System hangs when attempting to boot with an Oracle 10Gb Ethernet Adapter and the Oracle Linux 7.1 operating system

Bug ID 21220126

Issue: If you install the Oracle Linux 7.1 operating system using an ISO image that is mounted in Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) mode, the system hangs when attempting to boot with an Oracle 10Gb Ethernet Adapter installed.

Affected hardware and software:

Oracle 10Gb Ethernet Adapter
Oracle Linux 7.1 operating system

Workaround: Update the system to the latest kernel version and then perform another system boot. The system will boot as expected.
