Considerations for GitLab
GitLab is essential for Siebel Cloud Manager to manage version control, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment artifacts.
Ensure GitLab is accessible and configured before proceeding.
-
Existing GitLab: Can be used directly for Siebel Cloud Manager deployment.
OR
-
New GitLab Deployment: If not available, deploy GitLab using the OCI marketplace image. For more information, see the Deploy GitLab to enable CI/CD pipelines on OCI link in the Explore More section.
- Enabling SSL on the GitLab is required. For more information about how to enable HTTPS, see the Creating Self-Signed SSL Certificates for Gitlab Server For Siebel Cloud Manager link in the Explore More section.
-
Upgrade GitLab to the latest version and restart GitLab server. Login with root credentials and validate.
- Create a Siebel login and its access Token, which will be required during Siebel
Cloud Manager deployments. Transfer the
rootCA.crt
file of GitLab Server to Siebel Cloud Manager instance.
