About OCI Resources
The Siebel Cloud Manager image can be deployed into an OCI tenancy using either newly provisioned resources or existing resources.
Below are the steps and considerations for each approach:
- Using New Resources:
- If the New Resources option is selected, you must specify the root or parent compartment as an input.
- OCI Landing Zone components such as the following will be automatically
deployed:
- Virtual Cloud Network (VCN): A network in which the Siebel environment will operate.
- Gateways: Internet Gateway, NAT Gateway, and Service Gateway for enabling connectivity.
- Route Tables: To define traffic routes.
- Security Lists: For controlling network traffic to and from subnets.
- DHCP Options: To manage IP address assignments within the VCN.
- Using Existing Resources:
- If the Existing Resources option is selected, ensure that all
required OCI Landing Zone components are pre-configured and available for
selection during the Siebel Cloud Manager deployment. This includes:
- A fully configured VCN.
- Appropriate gateways, route tables, and security lists aligned with the deployment needs.
- Existing compartments and resources properly set up to integrate with the Siebel Cloud Manager.
- If the Existing Resources option is selected, ensure that all
required OCI Landing Zone components are pre-configured and available for
selection during the Siebel Cloud Manager deployment. This includes:
This plan provides flexibility in deployment while ensuring adherence to OCI best practices for networking and resource management.
