CRF Submit components
CRF Submit comprises the following components that you install using the CRF Submit installer on a computer running the Microsoft Windows Server operating system:
- Server Manager—Manages the work queue for the system.
- Connector Server—Retrieves clinical data from the InForm trial database.
- DocGen Server—Generates PDF and CSV files from the data collected through the Connector Server.
- Storage Server—Moves the PDF and CSV files generated by the DocGen Server from the database to the network storage and creates file archives as needed.
- Requestor—Provides a user interface for CRF Submit in InForm and provides CRF Submit access to data in the InForm trials. You install the Requestor on the InForm application server.
To access CRF Submit from InForm, click Archives on the home page.
CRF Submit uses two databases:
- CRF Submit Database—An Oracle database that:
- Tracks CRF Submit processes including:
- Time a request is submitted.
- Time a request is started and finished.
- Names of the CRF Submit computers.
- Error messages.
- The status of requests.
- Stores the queue of DocGen jobs until they are completed. Requests and completed jobs remain in the database until they are purged by the user who created them.
- Tracks CRF Submit processes including:
- InForm Trial Database—Maintains and controls trial data as it is entered into the InForm application. Contains the source data for the PDF and CSV files generated by CRF Submit.
CRF Submit does not modify the InForm data.
