Saving an object to a topic

To save objects as an attachment for an existing or a new topic, do the following:

1.         On the page where the object appears, click Save to Topic.

The Save to Topic dialog box appears.

Note: For a graph on the Data Mining Results tab or Reports tab, the Links check box must be selected for the Save to Topic link to appear below the graph.

When you save tabular data, such as run results:

Note: On the Drug-Event Combinations page, you can select rows, so the first n selected rows are saved.

2.         Enter the information into the fields shown. For more information, see Save to Topic dialog box.

3.         Click OK.

If you have created a new topic, it is assigned to you by default. You can edit the topic as needed.

Note: Your administrator may establish a maximum size for the Empirica Signal tables that you can attach with a site option. If you attempt to save a larger table an error message informs you of the defined limit.

After you add an attachment, you can view or edit it when you view or edit the topic or action to which it is attached. See Working with attachments.

Note: Changes to, or deletions of, the original object do not affect the attachment. For example, if you save report output as an attachment to a topic and then that report output is deleted, the topic attachment remains unchanged.
