Adding and viewing comments

Your topic workflow configuration might give you the ability to add comments to all, some, or none of the following:

If this feature is available for one or more of these contexts, when you view a topic, action, or attachment, you can also view all of its comments. When editing a topic, action, or attachment, you can both view and add comments.

Note: Once you have added a comment, you cannot edit or delete it.

Viewing or adding comments for a topic

You view and add comments about a topic as a whole in the Topic Comments section of the Topic page.

1.         Click the Topics tab.

The Topics page appears.

2.         To view comments only, click the row menu (Row menu) for the topic, and then click View.

The Topic page appears. Comments about the topic appear in the Topic Comments section.

To add a comment, click Row menu for the topic, and then click Edit.

The Topic page appears.

A.        In the Topic Comments section, click Add Comment.

The Add Comment dialog box appears.

B.        In the text box, enter the comment.

C.        Click Save.

The comment appears on the Topic page in the Topic Comments section.

Viewing or adding comments for an action

You view and add comments about an action in the Action Comments section of the Topic Action page.

1.         Click the Topics tab.

The Topics page appears.

2.         To view action comments only, click the row menu (Row menu) for the topic, and then click View.

The Topic page appears.

A.        In the Topic Actions section, click Row menu for the topic action, and then click View.

The Topic Action page appears.

B.        Expand the Action Comments section to view all comments for an action.

or

To add an action comment, click Row menu for the action, and then click View.

The Topic page appears.

A.        In the Topic Actions section, click Row menu for the topic action, and then click Edit.

The Topic Action page appears.

B.        In the Action Comments section, click Add Comment.

The Add Comment dialog box appears.

C.        In the text box, enter the comment.

D.        Click Save.

The Topic Action page appears. The comment appears in the Action Comments section.

Viewing or adding comments for an attachment

You work with attachments to a topic, including any comments on those attachments, in the Topic Attachments section of the Topic page. You work with attachments to an action, including any comments on those attachments, in the Action Attachments section of the Topic Action page.

1.         Click the Topics tab.

The Topics page appears.

2.         To view attachment comments only, click the row menu (Row menu) for the topic, and then click View.

The Topic page appears.

A.        In the Topic Attachments section, click Row menu for the topic attachment, and then click Comments.

The Comments dialog box appears and displays any comments.

To add a comment to an attachment, click Row menu for the topic, and then click Edit.

The Topic page appears.

B.        In the Topic Attachments section, click Row menu for the topic attachment, and then click Comments.

The Comments dialog box appears.

C.        Click Add Comment.

The Add Comment dialog box appears.

D.        In the text box, enter the comment.

E.        Click Save.

The comment appears in the Comments dialog box.

F.        Click Close.
