Package oracle.hsgbu.ets.snomed Description

Contains classes pertaining to the SNOMED-CT coding scheme. SNOMED-CT is the result of an effort, performed by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the United Kingdom�s National Health Service (NHS) to combine CAP�s SNOMED-RT terminology with NHS� Clinical Terminology (CT) version 3. SNOMED-CT is a very comprehensive concept-oriented healthcare terminology containing over 300,000 concepts. Under a contract between the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and CAP, SNOMED-CT is free for use by entities within the US. ETS provides a special SNOMED-CT loader that accepts SNOMED-CT content in the format provided by CAP. ETS also provides extensions to its generic interface to support special features of the SNOMED-CT terminology.
