5.27.1 Introduction

The A_PatientSupplyRequest (identified/confirmable) CMET identifies a verified order placed by a certified provider for in stock supplies intended for use by a particular patient. Supply requests do not include orders related to non-stock supplies or supply stocks without reference to a patient. Food, supplements, and medication supplies are not included within the definition of supply orders.
