3.2.1 Introduction

The Adapter Acknowledgement Transmission Wrapper is the communication or transport wrapper for the acknowledgements returned in response to the receipt of a message at the interface engine level. This structure is very similar to the message wrapper except for the absence of a Control Act class.

This wrapper, introduced in HDR Version 7, is fully conformant to HL7, and is used as a template for Accept Acknowledgements that are sent out by the Interface Engine.
