New Features and Enhancements in Fleet Application Management

This release introduces new features and enhancements to Fleet Application Management. These updates improve automation, flexibility, and operational oversight.

Key updates include:

  • Fleet Application Management now provides support for Oracle PeopleSoft 8.6 and later, specifically for Oracle Java, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Oracle Tuxedo components within PeopleSoft environments. This enhancement enables you to automate lifecycle management tasks such as health checks, discovery, and patching for PeopleSoft environments, and ensures seamless integration with other supported Oracle products.
  • Inventory APIs now let you retrieve target properties, components, and information about installed and recommended patches. The list of APIs are:
  • Fleet Application Management now lets you view, modify, and create configurations dynamically when scheduling or running provisioning requests with runbooks. Adjust resource configurations in real time, without editing source files, for flexible and efficient deployment of cloud resources such as Compute instances, storage, and networks. This feature enables consistent and repeatable infrastructure automation. For more information, see Processing a Runbook.
  • With the new deep cloning feature, you can copy a runbook with all its associated dependencies, so you can reuse runbooks across different compartments or tenancies without losing dependencies. For more information, see Deep Cloning a Runbook.
    • You can export a runbook—or a specific runbook version—along with all its associated dependencies to another tenancy or compartment, making it easy to transfer or back up complete automation workflows. See Exporting a Runbook.
    • You can import a runbook—or a specific runbook version—along with all its associated dependencies into a target compartment or tenancy. Missing dependencies are created automatically, or you can map them to existing resources, ensuring smooth integration and usability. See Importing a Runbook.
  • A reports feature in Fleet Application Management that lets you generate detailed, configurable reports to track and analyze operational metrics. For more information, see Reports.
