public class SectionView

extends javax.swing.JPanel

A component that can contain another component (the wrappedComponent) and limit what area of the wrappedComponent is visible to a specific vertical section. The wrappedComponent is restricted by calling the setViewBounds(...) method.

public SectionView()

Create a SectionView that contains the component to wrappedComponent restrict. To restrict the wrappedComponent of the component put the start and height client properties on the wrapped component. Call setView(componentToRestrict) to add the wrapped component.

Set the wrappedComponent to restrict. This call also takes care of adding the component to the component hierarchy.

Parameters:

wrappedComponent - the component to restrict the wrappedComponent of. Or null to remove a previous wrappedComponent.

getWrappedComponent

Returns:

the component wrappedComponent wrapped by this SectionView

setViewBounds

public void setViewBounds(int viewStart,
                          int viewEnd)

Restrict the view of the wrapped component to be within certain bounds.

Parameters:

viewStart - The top of the viewable section in pixels, or -1 to view everything

viewEnd - The bottom of the viewable section in pixels, or -1 to view everything.

the number of pixels removed above this sectional view, or -1 if all isviewable
